“ As someone who loves king crab, this place was a dream come true. They serve live, fresh king and snow crabs. You choose your type and desired size of crab, and select how you’d like it prepared (steamed or grilled with butter). As of Sept, the price were 129k/kg for king crab, and 99k/kg for snow crab. They recommended a pound of crab per person, but accommodated the four of us when we asked for a 2lb king crab, which we asked for half of it to be steamed and half grilled. The natural taste of the crab was delicious, but we all favored the tastier butter grilled crab over the steamed ones. We quickly realized our mistake when we were done eating our 2lb crab, as we wanted more and ended up ordering another 2lb grilled. I believe there was also a 15k charge for shrimps and abalone, and we requested that. Next time we will take the staff’s suggestion and order one giant 4lb king crab as opposed to two 2lb ones. ”

“ Meal budget per person (without drinks) Category 2 (over 60000 KRW, 50 USD) The Courtyard Namdaemun has a wonderful Executive Lounge with small buffet and unlimited drinks. But, if you look for something different which you can take out to enjoy dining in room with good view over Namsan Tower, this Start King Crab can be good option. Prices are moderate and the crabs are cooked on the spot immediately after ordering and each pieces are cut for comfortable eating. Stir-fried Rice on Crab shell or Crab Ramyon are also delectable! Along with this Star King Crab, there are some other restaurants nearby, e.g., Whelk, Mung Bean Pancake. ”

“ In South Korea office workers tend to be out of the office between 11am and 1pm for lunch break. So we choose to take a lunch at 1pm at Star King Crab and good choice only one table was occupied. Some dishes are at 10,000Krw, like ramen or noodle soup but we have chosen a set menu "korean tablemenu" at 15,000Krw, where you can taste all dishes they made. We found all dishes tasty and was satisfied with our choice. ”

“ A decent spot for trying King Crab in Korea. The prices are stated clearly and is fairly reasonable. A large crab (3kg) will cost around 125000 won/kg. Bonus if you can speak mandarin as the waitress could speak very fluent mandarin so communication would be easier. ”
